My family began to Breed Filas in the 80s believing in CBKC
and in the CPFB (
Fila Brasileiro Paulista Club, from São Paulo)... and not in CAFIB...
Note: as I have always done with all emails sent in the past, this was also sent primarily to those responsible for FCI (located in Belgium) + CBKC; and also to FCI (located in Spain)
Nota: como sempre fiz com todos os emails que enviei no passado, este também foi encaminhado primeiramente para os responsáveis pela FCI (da Bélgica) + CBKC; e para a FCI (da Espanha).
207. Dear Uncle Chico, for years I had been disagreements with my father, uncle and cousins. All of us knew the
Fila Brasileiro in the 80s, following the guidelines from CBKC and from CPFB -
Fila Brasileiro Paulista Club (note from Uncle Chico: this club is the predecessor and origin of the actual SPFB ). But I always sympathized with CAFIB... Because I heard that CAFIB had been founded in 1978 and is characterized by seeking the Pure
Fila in the interior of Brazil, mainly in the South of the State of Minas Gerais, to rescue him and refines it; while these two clubs preferred to breed and record also "filas-mestizos" born from illegal experiments conducted mainly in São Paulo-SP, where were used the Breeds English Mastiff and Neapolitan Mastin and Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, responsible for the "fabrication" and "invention" of the so-called "black-
fila”, where was used the Great Dane Breed in black color; despite we know that some Typical Filas were also registered at CBKC-FCI. My family never showed Filas in Expos, but we follow the name and the phenotype of the CBKC champions and had talks with those CBKC
Fila breeders... My family has never been
Fila breeder, but we always had at least a couple of Filas to guard our homes. As I preferred CAFIB, I was always outvoted ... Lol... Unfortunately…
I grew up, I began to read and study on the
Fila. I learned a lot and had huge arguments with my father, uncle and cousins as always sympathized with the work of redemption for the Pure
Fila initiated by CAFIB. Basically my family argued that the BKC-CBKC-FCI had several years of existence, our dogs were descended from CBKC champions and CAFIB was a new club formed by beginners. I argued that the " beginners " were led by Dr. Paulo Santos Cruz, known as the "Father of the
Fila", but unfortunately this was not enough. I had an uncle who was military and he said that CAFIB was formed by "subversive" members... (note from Uncle Chico: "subversives" was the word used by the military to define the Communists who were against Democracy they envisioned. And we all from CAFIB also ... Imagine if the founders of CAFIB would be “subversive” because they wanted to protect the unique Brazilian Breed internationally recognized. Pure and great nonsense ... Lol).
Well, I kept reading, studying and learning. And increasingly convinced me that the Pure
Fila existed only in CAFIB. First studied a lot on the CAFIB site (
http://www.cafibbrasil.com.br/ ), then I discovered the CAFIB newspaper “The
FILA”
(
http://www.cafibbrasil.com.br/jornal-o-fila/index.html ). More recently in your site (
http://www.filabrasileirochicopeltier.com.br/ ) and your blog (
http://filabrasileirochicopeltierblog.wordpress.com/ ). [note from Uncle Chico: to find all articles in English in my site just click
http://www.filabrasileirochicopeltier.com.br/1-eng.html and to read the Introduction of my site just click
http://www.filabrasileirochicopeltier.c ... -eng2.html ]. But I was never able to convince my family that the right
Fila to breed was the CAFIB-
Fila and follow the “CAFIB Breeding Philosophy”.
Well, it was necessary many years till my family finally be convinced that CAFIB is the only correct club in order to breed the Pure
Fila. Do you know how it happened? We already knew the very famous all rounder CBKC judge Paulo Godinho from lectures, articles publish in the Brazilian newspaper and in the CBKC Magazine. My uncle remembers that Paulo Godinho had a prodigious memory and had won several contests (quiz show) in a top-rated Brazilian TV program called "J. Silvestre". We all admired much Godinho`s professionalism, culture and intelligence. Then he launched the blockbuster book titled "
Fila - A gift from the stars" telling the whole True History of the
Fila Breed, (note from Uncle Chico: see and buy this book by
HTTP://blogdopaulogodinho.blogspot.com or by the email
paulogodinho@ique.com.br. You can also read the review I did of this book in English by clicking
http://filabrasileirochicopeltierblog.w ... the-stars/ .
The difference is that CAFIB, its founders and especially Uncle Chico wrote always defending CAFIB, but all of you WERE CAFIB MEMBERS. But not this time. Finally appeared Paulo Godinho, a renowned CBKC judge, which is a respected journalist and through a book sponsored by Sergio Castro, president of CBKC, tells everything about the origin of the
Fila, as this wonderful dog named
Fila survived in Southern of the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais, exposes all the wonderful saga and history about CAFIB and also write everything about the cross-breeding and the miscegenation in the
Fila Breed..
So, because Godinho`s book, all my family finally succumbed to my arguments...
Well, now that all my family read the Godinho`s book, they want to acquire some Pure Filas from CAFIB and read the articles signed by Uncle Chico. But your website and blog are very huge, with thousand of great and important articles. Could Uncle Chico select key articles for my family members, so they could learn more quickly what is the True and Pure CAFIB
Fila?
Sure. And thank you for recognition of your family. As I often say: to meet the Pure
Fila and CAFIB - better late than never! But first let me inform you some very important links to some documents that support and prove what you just wrote above to me. Then inform you a little more down the list of main articles posted in my site and blog. I have this list ready for many years, because it is very common to receive emails asking the same.
1. Links to some important documents that prove what you wrote above:

Finally, as I use to say, it's never too late to learn and know the True Pure
Fila breed and preserved only by CAFIB. Glad you were able to persist, believing in your belief of the existence of Pure-
Fila, that CAFIB is the only way for the breeding of the True
Fila Brasileiro and finally, you were able to convince all your "stubborn" family... Lol ....
Please relay to your family the "Welcome to CAFIB" from Uncle Chico ... And you all have a great read ...
PS: who knows our good Lord will also illuminate the minds and hearts of Rafael de Santiago, Raymond Triquet and Gerard Jipping from FCI and Sergio de Castro and Ricardo Simões from CBKC? Let us pray ...
